From Spring Days to Creative Ways.

How this post started:

What’s so good about Sydney?

I just treated myself to a luxury, delicious seafood pie.

I’ve been working on my next project, a dream. And watching a show, with my feet up and some ice cream. What led to these moments? Boredom! Resting brought me an opportunity. However, it hasn’t been all fancy & roses. The plumbing has been playing up, and the electricity! There is grass to be mowed, and gardening to be done. All good things, come in good packages! No dramas, just work.

When you feel a blog post coming on… you feel a blog post coming on! So I took my second opportunity today, and felt inspired to sit and write. Maybe it was the pie, maybe it was the boredom.

Spring -

It’s the beginning of Spring, and we’ve already had all four seasons in half a month. Yesterday was sunny and warm, and today is cool and windy. It’s fashion confusing!

Speaking of fashion...

I’ve found the shoes I desire for warmer, sunny Spring/Summer weather. It looks like Spring is only starting, there may be warm days for summer shoes! I’ve found the perfect sandals, the hot sunglasses, the cute shorts and singlet. All thanks to my holiday to Byron Bay. A lot of fashion is inspired by different places, countries or even in my own backyard! I’m very glad I didn't buy the sandals and sunglasses yet - it’s far too soon, and far too cold these first couple of weeks. We are still saying goodbye to winter! I look forward to Daylight savings (just another thing to add to the list of things to look forward to!).

Did you know… Christmas decorations are already out! Yes, that’s right, Christmas decor! Yay. I’m excited, and all here for it. I’ve browsed a few items that I’m loving, and look forward to buying and decorating a whole new decoration range. However, yes, again, it is too soon! I’m not sure what I’m doing for Christmas yet, what are your Christmas plans?  I’m probably doing the same thing we do every year! Lol, do we expect anything different?! I’m sure everyone is looking forward to taking some time off, and more.

As I am aging, I am growing into a more thoughtful being. I love my age, and the ageing process. I am becoming wiser, and finally coming into fruition. For example, people-pleasing, I am letting that go as I get older. However, when I was younger, I was always wondering how on earth adults do it?! I am remaining less bothered by what used to bother me.

O the joys of becoming & maturing. I don’t miss my twenties, and my path hasn’t been all roses. I’m happy for teenagers that are doing those years well, my teens were my party era!

My twenties were my anxious era, and my thirties are my growing up era. I am so excited for what 35 years has in store!

I have some gifts planned for Christmas, small, however, thoughtful and hearty. There are birthdays to celebrate for 2026/27. And I booked a holiday that’s been on my wishlist. I wanted to chill, and travel local this year.

We have a public holiday coming up - first Monday of October. What are you looking forward to? I love hearing people’s plans and dreams. There could be BBQ's, pooltime, tanning, bikinis, etc. New beats, new clothes, new memories.

Currently…

I’ve been enjoying sleep-ins, going to bed early, mindful meditations before bed, balancing a healthy diet with some sugar, and waking up early. Some weeks I exercise regularly and eat healthy, some weeks I do nothing and eat what I feel like! Both works, all in moderation!

Kindness is Free:

I could never forget people’s vulnerabilities. I should “do” empathy, I should be kind and giving. I’ve admired people who help the vulnerable, I’ve admired people who show their weaknesses, and I admire people who help others. Yes, my own story has helped me be more empathetic.

Sometimes, I find myself asking: How can I help? Who can you help? Who can you support? Who can you collaborate with?

There are a million ways to help, there are people less fortunate than us, and there are many free ways to contribute. Maybe it doesn’t interest you, maybe it’s not your thing. And that is okay too. But I ask you, how did you get to where you are? A place where you do not feel the need to help others? Did others help you?

Kindness is free, compliments are free. Being kind to nature is free, being kind to things and your neighbours are all free. However, don’t take it from me, trust your own instincts!

This blog post took two weeks to come into fruition, and I’m pretty happy with it. I was stuck and uninspired for two weeks, and cheers to that. I love things with “wow-factor”, and writing this “Wow-ed” me. Blogging always wow’s me. I write from my heart, and I’m not being overly polished. What on earth am I inspired by today?! My job application excited me. For the rest of the afternoon, I might just set some intentions! I’m feeling inspired. Maybe it’s the cold!

What or who inspires you? What are your plans for the rest of 2026 and Jan 2027?! It’s all happening here in Sydney!

Things I would love to do:

  1. High tea,

  2. Visit Bundanoon Art Gallery (it’s where I went for Junior School Camp - amazing).

  3. Have a Boat Birthday Party.
